Howdens Joinery pick claimIT
Following a comprehensive evaluation of debt recovery software available together with an extensive test period, Howden Joinery Ltd have installed claimIT throughout their debt recovery department.
Howden Joinery Ltd, previously part of the MFI group, are manufacturers of fitted furniture. With over 360 depots throughout the UK , Howden supplies kitchen, bedroom and joinery products to a core customer base of around 175,000 trade customer accounts, together with being the main supplier to the MFI group.
A significant aspect of the decision was the ability of claimIT to regularly import, from Howdenxs main SAP management system, details of new debts and of payments received, all with the minimum of operator intervention and with the automatic allocation to the relevant case handler. Its mixture of both manual and automatic debt progression, giving the user the ability to selectively bulk process actions but to also give individual attention to selective cases when necessary, was another deciding factor.
A further feature that was critical in the selection was the ability to integrate with the Claim Production Centre (CPC) and the County Court Bulk Centre (CCBC) for the progression of the claims.
The installation involved the conversion and migration of debts held on their previous Minimis system into claimIT.
John Meehan, Chairman of AlphaLAW, stated : 'claimIT it is fast being recognised as the UK's leading debt recovery system, particularly when you examine its features, functions, flexibility, ease of use, overall suitability for purpose and value for money. Add to that the benefits in time, efficiency and financial that result in using claimIT then we can see why it is becoming so popular. The level of enquiry that we are getting is quite phenomenal.'
