A User's Views on AlphaLAW-claimIT
As a small vehicle leasing and hire company who specialise in lending to individuals and companies with poor credit ratings Duncton inevitably has a higher percentage of agreements which to not proceed to full term.
As Litigation Supervisor I joined the company just over a year ago to take the collection of money following early termination of agreements back in house following the unsatisfactory results of external debt collection agencies.
This has been hugely successful but it was soon realised that the manual operation of this work was cumbersome and time consuming. Thus the search began to find a Debt Collection System that was user friendly, time saving and cost effective.
As a solicitor trained litigator I have used Debt Recovery packages before and even put the workflow together for one package. Historically they have been cumbersome, defiantly not user friendly and once a debt was activated unable to be stopped. Systems were usually written by IT experts who have a limited knowledge of the legal system and what the user wants from the system. Therefore I was sceptical that I would find what I needed.
After attending an exhibition in London in March this year we narrowed the choice down to 3 companies that seemed to provide what we needed. AlphaLAW was a clear winner based on performance and price.
In early April our new system was quickly installed and I was trained to use it. What do I think of it? Let me tell you:
- Is it user friendly? Yes it is.
- The screens are clear and easy to read.
- You can input your own letters as standards and they are easy to code.
- The training given is high quality and nothing is too much trouble to ensure that the system work in the way that you need it to.
- You can stop an action half way through and reverse procedures to suit the current situation on individual matters.
- You can covert manual debts for live use on the system when part of the work has already been done.
- Particulars of Claim can be included in the Claim Form or in a separate document.
- Is it time saving? Yes it is. The time taken to issue proceedings has been cut by two thirds.
- Is it cost effective? Yes it is. It isn't the cheapest option but taken with the points above it is the most cost effective.
- Customer Support? I can't tell you about that because the training was so good I haven't needed to use it yet but inevitably at some time I will need to.
Is Duncton happy with the package AlphaLAW has supplied? You bet we are!
Would we recommend it to other potential users? Of course!
